This is how I felt leaving this session. I met up with Cort & Woods last weekend for some tattoo fun.
I am always so delighted to see parents who have a strong connection with their kids....

From the Garden....
I am always amazed that I can put seeds in the ground and in a few weeks have something to eat. I grew these green beans, my first. I asked my hubby to try them out...my guinea pig. Turns out, they were great!

These images are from my little girl necklace party I had in the spring. These little girls are all good friends of our family. I've known them since they were babes...it's so fun to watch them grow up.

Happy Summer
Funny napkins rock.
I bought these for my good friend Bee while I was visiting NYC this past winter.
They were made for her. Good times always ensue when we are together.

Perfection....
is hard to find. Keeping this in mind as a parent is a good thing, I find. But, in this image...I find some perfection. I've been trying to capture my oldest son's new missing teeth for a few weeks now. All the other pictures just don't compare to this one. I finally just followed him around one morning last week and let him just 'be'. This is what came out of it. It's perfectly Jackson.

Boys....boys....boys.
I have many of them in my house. If you count Josh the hubby and Ace the dog there are 4. That's a lot of testosterone in one small space.
In my domesticated craziness there are wild boys chasing each other through my kitchen while i weave through them with a really heavy hot pot of boiling noodles......a broken dishwasher......a half-fix washing machine, lots of dirty clothes.....a husband who wants to spend some grown-up time with me......and a dog who desperately wants to go on a long stroll with the chic who used to give him more time.
Tonight, I am grateful for that glass of wine I had while I washed the stacks of dirty dishes by hand to my favorite rockin' tunes and for my husband who rough-housed with two wild boys and one very happy dog while I took a break from it all.
The little things. Thank you for the little things.
